Promoting a global culture of solidarity with the poor - in Haiti, Africa, and beyond. - for a more just and sustainable world . . .
Solino is a neighborhood in Haiti’s capital of Port au Prince that is dominated by poverty, violence, disease, and despair. It is a place where street gangs attract youth who have few opportunities to attend school or earn a livelihood.
A Haitian Spiritan priest, Fr.. Patrick Eugene, CSSp,, with support from Rich in Mercy Institute is helping to change that. Every summer more than 200 Solino youth participate in a soccer camp that offers wholesome athletic opportunities, strong leadership formation, and renewed HOPE!
